Average
You can use Excel's built in =AVERAGE function to average a range of values.  By using it
with other functions, you can extend its functionality.

Auto Filter
The AutoFilter allows a user to filter items in a list according to a set criteria. You can filter text, numbers or dates with AutoFilter.The AutoFilter allows a user to filter items in a list according to a set criteria. You can filter text, numbers or dates with AutoFilter. Note in office 2010 it is just called Filter.

Advanced Filter
You can use an Excel Advanced Filter to extract a list of unique items in the database. For example, get a list of customers from an order list, or compile a list of products sold. In this example, the unique list is copied to a different location, and the original list in unchanged.
